IoT brand SwitchBot officially announced its new smart lighting product, the “SwitchBot RGBIC Light Bars,” in the United States on Monday, September 28, 2026 local time.

The “SwitchBot RGBIC Light Bars” are a set of two bar-shaped smart lights designed to be placed beside TVs or monitors, on shelves, or by the bedside. In addition to RGBIC LEDs capable of displaying multiple colors simultaneously on a single bar, they also feature dedicated white LEDs for warm white and daylight white.

A key feature is that they can be used not only for ambient lighting effects, but also for everyday lighting tailored for work or reading.

Supporting 16 million colors, each bar features 6 individually controllable zones, totaling 12 zones across the pair. Along with 26 dynamic effects, they feature built-in microphones, allowing for 6 music sync modes that make the lights change to the beat of music without requiring a separate sensor.

The white light color temperature can be adjusted from 2200K to 6500K, with a brightness dimmable from 1% to 100%, delivering a maximum of 800 lumens combined for both bars.

The “SwitchBot RGBIC Light Bars” feature a magnetic installation design, allowing them to be attached to metal surfaces for easy repositioning, and support both vertical and horizontal placement. For non-magnetic surfaces, they can be fixed using adhesive tape, making them easy to mount behind monitors and TVs or under shelves. For smart home integration, they natively support the “Matter” smart home standard, enabling connection to Google Home, Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings without needing a separate SwitchBot Hub.

The “SwitchBot RGBIC Light Bars” can be controlled via voice commands, the included wired controller, or the “SwitchBot” app. Automated scheduling for turning them on and off can also be configured. Furthermore, by using the API, they can be utilized as status indicators for “AI Agents” to display states such as “thinking,” “working,” “completed,” or “emergency alert.”

Measuring 28cm in length by 4.5cm in width, each “SwitchBot RGBIC Light Bar” weighs 272g. The LED lifespan is rated at 50,000 hours, with a rated power of 24W.

The “SwitchBot RGBIC Light Bars” are priced at $45.99 in the US. While this announcement is for the US market, a product page has also appeared on Japan’s Amazon.co.jp, suggesting a launch in Japan is likely imminent.
