On Wednesday, September 23, 2026 (local time), Google’s video service YouTube announced enhancements to the “Ask Music” music and podcast discovery feature and the new “Your Podcast Lineup” AI voice-guided feature for the “YouTube Music” app during its creator event, “Made on YouTube.”
“Ask Music” and “Your Podcast Lineup” are scheduled to roll out soon to “YouTube Music” and “YouTube Premium” members worldwide.
“Ask Music”
“Ask Music” is an interactive feature built directly into the “YouTube Music” app.
It allows users to search across a catalog of over 300 million songs and podcasts—including official studio tracks, remixes, live performances, cover songs, and DJ sets. With newly added capabilities for flexibly customizing playback queues and diving deeper into artist backgrounds and lore, it provides an easy and intuitive way to control your personalized music experience.
“Your Podcast Lineup”
“Your Podcast Lineup” is a new podcast feature that provides a personalized AI voice guide.
It delivers weekly short audio previews of recommended shows, explains why they are being recommended, and then seamlessly transitions into playing the suggested episodes. Because it is eyes-optional and hands-free, you can comfortably discover new podcasts while working or commuting without having to look at or operate your screen.
