On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, Google launched “Tap Party,” a gaming tournament on the official Google e-commerce site “Google Store” that offers exclusive discount rewards.
The “Tap Party” tournament is a gaming event leading up to the annual “Google Anniversary Campaign” on the official “Google Store,” celebrating the founding of Google on September 27, 1998, in California. Although Google has only announced it as an “upcoming campaign,” the terms state that “winners may use a unique promotional code provided by Google between 9:00 AM on September 25, 2026, and 11:59 PM on October 7, 2026 (Japan time).” Therefore, the 2026 “Google Anniversary Campaign” is expected to run from 9:00 AM on Friday, September 25, 2026, to 11:59 PM on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
This year, 2026, marks Google’s 28th anniversary.

“Tap Party” is a simple game where players tap and pop balloons floating on the screen within a 60-second time limit. Features include “Gemini” balloons that pop all balloons on the screen when tapped, as well as “distraction balloons” that deduct points if popped.
Users who rank in the top 55 by the tournament deadline of 11:59 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2026, will receive a 100,000-yen discount reward applicable to the next-generation Google Pixel devices, the “Pixel 11” series, or a 20% discount reward applicable to eligible products on the “Google Store.” Additionally, simply registering an email address during the “Tap Party” period will grant a 10% discount reward for the “Pixel 11” series. Rewards are solidly in place even for those ranked 56th and below.
