The logo for the voice recorder app “Recorder” on Google Pixel devices has been suddenly revamped starting with app version v4.2.20260709.960184543.
Previously, the “Recorder” app logo for Google Pixel devices featured a white sound waveform enclosed in a red circle. However, as shown in the featured image at the top, the refreshed “Recorder” app logo has been changed to feature a red sound waveform enclosed in a white circle. Additionally, the waveform itself has become slightly bolder.
By the way, this is the first time the “Recorder” app logo has been updated since its initial release.
Along with the logo refresh of the “Recorder” app, the design of the “Recorder” app tile in the Quick Settings has also been updated. However, it is not a complete overhaul yet, with the changes currently appearing in places like the app drawer and the “App Info” page.
Please note that we have not observed any specific functional changes or new features in version v4.2.20260709.960184543 of the “Recorder” app aside from the logo refresh. If we find anything new, we will be sure to report on it.
