On Tuesday, August 11, 2026 local time, Google announced a strategic partnership with the US global healthcare company Abbott Laboratories regarding its healthcare service, “Google Health.”
Through this partnership between Google Health and Abbott, blood glucose data collected by Abbott’s smart glucose management monitor, “Lingo,” will be integrated into Google Health, enabling users to visualize how diet, exercise, and sleep affect their bodies. This will allow users to receive professional, personalized health guidance through Google Health.
The integration of Lingo with Google Health is scheduled to roll out sequentially starting in the second half of 2026. Initially, Lingo users will be able to view their blood glucose trends alongside other health and wellness metrics. Furthermore, Google Health’s “Health Coach” feature will utilize this blood glucose data to provide personalized advice for improving lifestyle habits such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, and recovery.
In addition, a large-scale real-world data research project on metabolic health will be conducted. This project aims to clarify the connection between exercise, sleep, physical/mental state, and metabolic health by integrating continuous glucose monitoring with information from wearable devices, lab data, and survey responses. The findings from this research project will also be reflected in future AI guidance and the development of new features for Lingo.
