Google 動画サービス YouTube は現地時間 2026 年 8 月 10 日（月）、日本でも 2025 年 9 月より試験的に提供している通常月額税込み 780 円のライト版サブスクリプションサービス「YouTube Premium Lite」を、すべての「YouTube Premium」提供地域に展開拡大すると発表しました。

「YouTube Premium（月額税込み 1,280 円）」は、「YouTube」「YouTube Music」内の広告非表示 / バックグラウンド再生 / オフライン再生用の動画一時ダウンロード / 追加機能（先へジャンプ / キュー / 視聴の続きなど）を利用できる有料サブスクリプションサービスです。一方「YouTube Premium Lite（月額税込み 780 円）」は、「YouTube」内の広告非表示 / バックグラウンド再生 / オフライン再生用の動画一時ダウンロードを利用できる有料サブスクリプションサービスです。

「YouTube Premium Lite」では、「YouTube Premium」で提供されている「YouTube Music」内の広告非表示と追加機能（先へジャンプ / キュー / 視聴の続きなど）が省かれています。なお、2026 年 5 月より、Google AI プラン「Google AI Pro」メンバーシップ向け特典として、「YouTube Premium Lite」が新たに追加され、大いに話題となりました。
