On Thursday, July 16, 2026, Google announced the expansion of “Connected Apps” that work in tandem with its AI search service, “AI Mode.”
The three new “Connected Apps” integrated with “AI Mode” are the US grocery delivery service Instacart, the online design tool Canva, and the music streaming service YouTube Music.

With the Instacart integration, you can add necessary items to your shopping cart from an ingredient list created in “AI Mode,” and then seamlessly finalize your order by transitioning to the Instacart app or website in just a few taps.
The integration with Canva allows you to directly request template suggestions for projects, such as creating flyers.
The YouTube Music integration lets you prompt the AI to create the perfect playlist for occasions like parties and start playing it immediately.
The “AI Mode” integration for Instacart, Canva, and YouTube Music will begin rolling out in the United States, followed by a wider release. Furthermore, more apps are scheduled to be added as “Connected Apps” in the near future.
