  • Integration of VoIP app call history into the standard Android “Phone by Google” app has finally begun.
  • A “Third-party apps” setting has appeared within the “Calling accounts” menu, where apps that integrate their call history are displayed.
  • Currently, “WhatsApp” and “Google Meet” are listed.

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, Google announced the integration of VoIP app call history as a new feature for developers, set to be deployed in the standard phone app for Android devices.

Less than two months later, it appears that the integration of VoIP app call history into the standard Android “Phone by Google” app has finally begun. Specifically, a “Third-party apps” setting has been added under “Calling accounts,” which lists the apps that have integrated their call history.

“Third-party apps” can be toggled on or off individually, and the current lineup includes “WhatsApp” and “Google Meet.” Unfortunately, “LINE” is not currently supported.

By integrating “Third-party apps” call history into the “Phone by Google” app, users can check all call history in one place and call back directly from the history using the corresponding app. This eliminates the hassle of switching between different apps just to return a call while managing your call history.

The “Third-party apps” call history integration for “Phone by Google” is being rolled out gradually for Android devices running “Android 16.1” or later. The list of supported apps is also expected to expand in the future.
