On Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (local time), Google announced the release of “Android 17 QPR1 Beta 6” for Google Pixel devices enrolled in the pre-release Android OS trial program, the “Android Beta Program.”

“Android 17 QPR1,” the foundation of this release, is a beta OS for the first of the quarterly platform releases (QPR) that roll out after the official release of “Android 17.” Following the release of “Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1” on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, subsequent versions “Beta 2,” “Beta 3,” “Beta 4,” and “Beta 5” have been released in stages. This now leads to the release of “Android 17 QPR1 Beta 6.”

One more thing. the third beta of our Android 17 quarterly platform release (QPR1) just came out, and it contains a minor SDK release to support a few features that just couldn’t wait for QPR2.

“Android 17 QPR1 Beta 6” is being delivered via Over the Air (OTA) software update to Google Pixel devices registered in the Android Beta Program, including the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10a. Notably, since “Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1,” the new generation of affordable Google Pixel devices, the “Pixel 10a,” has also been added to the lineup of eligible devices for the Android Beta Program.

The contents of “Android 17 QPR1 Beta 6” focus on bug fixes and improvements. The following five issues have been resolved:
