- Google has announced the rollout of personalized image generation as a new feature of its “Personal Intelligence.”
- By integrating the “Nano Banana” image generation AI with the Google Photos online library service, this new “app integration” feature generates images that reflect a user’s preferences and lifestyle based on information retrieved from connected apps.
- Since “Personal Intelligence” automatically fetches relevant images from connected apps like Google Photos, users can now generate personalized images using only text prompts.
On Monday, June 29, 2026 (local time), Google announced the rollout of personalized image generation as a new feature for its personal AI assistant, “Personal Intelligence,” within the Google Gemini AI ecosystem.
This newly launched personalized image generation feature leverages the “Nano Banana” image generation AI in tandem with the Google Photos online library service. By integrating with connected apps, it generates images that reflect the user’s preferences and lifestyle based on retrieved data. For instance, in the “Generate image” function of the Gemini app, users can simply send text prompts like “Design my dream house” or “Create an illustration of things I like.” “Personal Intelligence” then captures the appropriate context to generate the optimal image.
Previously, users had to manually upload reference images to guide the generation process. With this update, “Personal Intelligence” automatically retrieves relevant images from connected apps such as Google Photos, enabling the creation of personalized images using only text prompts.
Google has announced that this personalized image generation support via “Personal Intelligence” is currently being rolled out to Gemini users in the United States.
