  • Google has announced an expansion of the “TSA PreCheck” program integration within the “Google Wallet” digital ID (touchless ID) feature, which utilizes passports for identity verification.
  • The “TSA PreCheck” feature for Google Wallet digital IDs was first launched in the U.S. as a beta service approximately two years ago, in September 2024.
  • The number of participating airlines is set to expand to over 100 within the coming weeks.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026 (local time), Google announced the expansion of the “TSA PreCheck” program—a simplified security screening initiative managed by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA)—within the digital ID (touchless ID) creation feature of its mobile payment management service, Google Wallet.

The “TSA PreCheck” integration for Google Wallet digital IDs was first introduced as a beta service in the U.S. in September 2024, about two years ago. Until now, this digital ID-based TSA PreCheck service has been available at 65 airports across the United States through select partner airlines.

With this latest update, the number of partner airlines for the Google Wallet digital ID-based TSA PreCheck program will expand to more than 100 in the coming weeks.

Once you register your digital ID in Google Wallet, a link button to the TSA PreCheck registration page will appear when you add a boarding pass to your wallet. After completing the TSA PreCheck registration, a TSA PreCheck indicator will be displayed on the boarding pass within Google Wallet, allowing for a smoother passage through dedicated TSA PreCheck touchless ID lanes.

As of now, digital ID registration in Google Wallet is supported in five countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Singapore, and Taiwan.
