Google Launches Search Profiles for Publishers and Creators in the US

Key Points of This Article
  • Google has announced “Search Profile,” a new profile page for publishers and creators, now rolling out across multiple Google platforms including “Google Discover” and “Google Search.”
  • The profile page can be set up by publishers/creators who meet at least one of the following criteria: 100,000+ YouTube subscribers, 100,000+ Instagram followers, 100,000+ X followers, or 300,000+ TikTok followers.
  • In the future, the service is expected to expand beyond the U.S. and be available to a wider range of publishers and creators.

On Thursday, June 4, 2026 (local time), Google announced the launch of “Search Profile,” a profile page for publishers and creators that has begun rolling out across several Google platforms, including the content curation service “Google Discover” and “Google Search.”

The newly introduced “Search Profile” is a profile page on Google platforms that can be customized by publishers and creators who meet at least one of the following criteria: 100,000+ YouTube subscribers, 100,000+ Instagram followers, 100,000+ X followers, or 300,000+ TikTok followers. “Search Profiles” can be accessed via the publisher/creator name displayed on content cards in “Google Discover” and “Google Search.” These pages aggregate and display the latest articles, videos, and social media posts published by the creator.

In “Google Discover,” Google began rolling out “Website Profile Pages” for publishers and creators in September 2025, with availability in Japan confirmed as of March 2026. The newly introduced “Search Profile” acts as an evolved version of these website profile pages. While the original “Website Profile Pages” automatically pull content via Google, the key feature of “Search Profiles” is that publishers and creators can customize their avatar, bio, website links, social media/video platform handles, and other content.

Note that for publishers and creators who already have a “Knowledge Panel,” a “Search Profile” will be generated automatically.

Search Profile

“Search Profile” is currently launching in the United States. In the future, it is expected to expand beyond the U.S. and be offered to a broader range of publishers and creators.

In other words, the current high thresholds—100,000+ subscribers on YouTube, 100,000+ followers on Instagram, 100,000+ on X, or 300,000+ on TikTok—are expected to be lowered in the future.
