On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, ASUS announced the “ASUS Pad (T3201),” the company’s first Android tablet in several years.
The ASUS Pad (T3201) is a 12.2-inch Android tablet powered by the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset and 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Most notably, it ships with Android 16 out of the box.
Pricing and availability for the ASUS Pad (T3201) have not yet been announced. Given how attractive the product appears, we certainly hope to see it launched in Japan as well.
ASUS Pad (T3201)
The ASUS Pad (T3201) is a high-spec Android tablet marking ASUS’s long-awaited return to the tablet market.
Key specifications include a 12.2-inch (2,800 x 1,840) 2K dual-layer OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, and a 9,000mAh battery, all running on Android 16. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
Featuring a magnalium chassis and a fiberglass back cover, the ASUS Pad (T3201) is ultra-slim at 6.5mm thick and weighs only 523g. It is equipped with four speakers and supports “Dolby Atmos Cinematic Audio” for immersive sound.
The ASUS Pad (T3201) boasts a high screen-to-body ratio of 92% and has received “TÜV Rheinland” international certification for blue light reduction and flicker-free technology. Coupled with Dolby Atmos support, it is designed with a strong focus on entertainment.
In terms of functionality, it supports “ASUS GlideX,” which enables seamless connectivity between the tablet and a PC, including screen sharing, file transfer, and multi-device workflows. “Circle to Search” is also supported.
Additionally, the device is compatible with the dedicated “ASUS Pen 2.0 (SA203H)” stylus and comes with a protective case included in the box.
