On Monday, June 1, 2026, Google Japan announced that it will finally open its official physical “Google Store,” which has already established multiple locations in the U.S., here in Japan.
The Japanese “Google Store” will be located on the first floor of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando “Omokado” (MAP) in Omotesando, Tokyo. It is scheduled to open in the summer of 2026.
While specific details have yet to be announced, the store is expected to open in a few months. Notably, Japan will be the first country outside of the U.S. to feature a physical “Google Store.”
The “Google Store Tokyo Omotesando” will offer a wide range of products, including Google Pixel devices, Nest/Fitbit products, accessories, and items from partner brands. Additionally, the store is expected to serve as a pickup point for orders placed on the official “Google Store” online site and will host workshops led by dedicated staff.
I am very much looking forward to the long-awaited opening of the “Google Store” in Japan.
