Today, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, Google Japan has officially released the “Isai Blue” Japan-exclusive color for the new-generation budget Google Pixel device, “Pixel 10a,” which was initially announced on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

While the standard color variations of the Japanese “Pixel 10a”—Lavender (purple), Berry (red), Fog (white), and Obsidian (black)—were released on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the Japan-exclusive “Isai Blue” color has been reserved for today’s release, Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

The “Pixel 10a” Japan-exclusive “Isai Blue” model is a special edition created in collaboration with the Morioka-based art lifestyle brand “HERALBONY.” It also commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Google Pixel series, dating back to the original “Pixel” and “Pixel XL” released overseas in October 2016.

The name “Isai Blue” is derived from HERALBONY’s mission, “Unleash your ‘Isai’ (shining individuality).” The choice of blue also aligns with the symbolic color for autism awareness, which resonates with Google’s philosophy of valuing diversity.

The “Pixel 10a” Japan-exclusive “Isai Blue” comes only in a 256GB internal storage configuration and is priced at 94,900 yen (including tax).

“Pixel 10a”

The “Pixel 10a” is the new-generation budget Google Pixel device, powered by the same “Tensor G4” processor found in the “Pixel 9” series.

Traditionally, the “Pixel a” series has been positioned as an affordable model utilizing the processor of its current flagship series. However, the “Pixel 10a” marks the first time it features a processor from the previous generation. In terms of major specifications, it acts as a minor update to the “Pixel 9a.” Unfortunately, it does not support the “Pixelsnap” magnetic unit based on the “Qi2” wireless charging standard, which was first introduced in the “Pixel 10” series.

The “Pixel 10a” is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring a 100% recycled aluminum frame with a satin finish and a back cover made of 81% recycled plastic. Furthermore, recycled materials including cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten are used throughout the device.

While the “Pixel 10a” retains the same IP68 water and dust resistance as the “Pixel 9a,” its durability has been significantly improved thanks to the inclusion of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The display is a 6.3-inch Actua display, identical in size to the “Pixel 9a,” but with an 11% increase in brightness.

The “Pixel 10a” packs a 5,100mAh battery, matching the capacity of the “Pixel 9a,” capable of over 30 hours of continuous operation. Charging capabilities have been improved over the “Pixel 9a,” supporting up to 45W wired fast charging and up to 10W fast wireless charging. Seven years of OS and security updates are guaranteed from the date of release.

A notable feature of the “Pixel 10a” is that it is the first in the “Pixel a” series to support “Pixel Satellite SOS.” It also includes “Quick Share,” the short-range file transfer feature that offers interoperability with Apple’s “AirDrop.”

The main specifications of the “Pixel 10a” include a 6.3-inch (2,424 × 1,080) Actua display with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and a 60–120Hz refresh rate, a Tensor G4 processor / Titan M2 security coprocessor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB of internal storage, and a 5,100mAh battery with up to 45W fast charging and 10W wireless charging. It comes with Android 16 out of the box.

The rear camera system is a dual setup featuring a 48MP wide camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera. It supports up to 8x Super Res Zoom and “Macro Focus” for close-up shots. The front features a 13MP hole-punch selfie camera.

Additional features include USB Type-C 3.2, an under-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock, 5G (Sub6) connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E (6GHz support), Bluetooth v6.0, and dual SIM support via nanoSIM and eSIM. The Japanese version of the “Pixel 10a” also includes FeliCa support for Osaifu-Keitai.

The “Pixel 10a” is available in four standard colors: Lavender, Berry, Fog, and Obsidian. The Japanese version adds the exclusive “Isai Blue” color, making it available in five colors. It is offered in two configurations: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage or 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
