- Google Meet for Android Auto was officially released in mid-May 2026.

On Thursday, April 2, 2026, Google announced support for Apple CarPlay for its video calling service, Google Meet.
At that time, Google also teased the upcoming release of Google Meet for Android Auto. While initially only CarPlay support was available, we have confirmed that Google Meet for Android Auto was officially rolled out in mid-May 2026.
Once Google Meet for Android Auto is active, you will receive a notification within Android Auto stating that “Meet is available.”
With Google Meet for Android Auto, you can join scheduled video meetings or return calls from your recent call history. Please note that for safety reasons, the Android Auto version of Google Meet is limited to audio-only participation and voice calls, rather than video.
