Google Translate Adds Pronunciation Practice in the US and India

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Google announced the 20th anniversary of its translation service, “Google Translate,” alongside the launch of a new feature called “Pronunciation Practice.”

The new “Pronunciation Practice” feature in Google Translate allows users to practice saying translated words and sentences, with an AI providing feedback on their pronunciation. While Google Translate has previously offered “language learning” features for daily communication, this new update enables users to practice the exact phrases they want to speak in real-time.

Please note that for now, the “Pronunciation Practice” feature is only available for the Android version of the Google Translate app in the United States and India. It currently supports three languages: English, Spanish, and Hindi.
