On Monday, April 20, 2026, Google began rolling out a new “Touch-up” tool for the Android version of its online photo library service, Google Photos.
The new “Touch-up” tool added to the Android version of Google Photos is a photo editing feature that allows you to perform corrections such as smoothing skin texture, removing blemishes, brightening eyes, and whitening teeth—literally with a simple touch. In the editing screen for photos containing faces, you can select the “Touch-up” tool, then choose from specific adjustments like Repair, Smoothing, Under-eye, Iris, Teeth, Eyebrows, or Lips, and finally adjust the intensity.
Please note that the newly announced “Touch-up” tool requires a device with at least 4GB of RAM and running Android 9.0 or higher.
