On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Google Japan officially announced the Japanese version of the “Pixel 10a,” the new generation of the budget-friendly Google Pixel device that was officially announced overseas on February 18, 2026, and launched in the US and other markets on March 5, 2026.
The Japanese version of the “Pixel 10a” is a localized model based on the international version, featuring FeliCa support for “Osaifu-Keitai” (mobile wallet). Beyond just being a localized model, the standout feature of this Japanese release is the inclusion of “Isai Blue,” a Japan-exclusive blue color created in collaboration with the design apparel brand “HERALBONY.”
In total, the Japanese “Pixel 10a” lineup consists of 5 colors: the existing “Lavender,” “Berry,” “Fog,” and “Obsidian,” along with the exclusive “Isai Blue.” It is available in 128GB and 256GB storage capacities, priced at 79,980 yen and 94,900 yen (including tax), respectively.
While the Japanese “Pixel 10a” officially launches on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, please note that the “Isai Blue” color will be released one month later, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Pre-orders for the Japanese “Pixel 10a” have already begun on the “Google Store.” As part of the launch campaign running until Monday, April 27, 2026, customers can take advantage of up to 30,100 yen in increased trade-in value, receive 10,000 yen in “Google Store Credit” for future use, or get 50% off the “Pixel Buds 2a” when purchased simultaneously. “Pixel 10a”
The “Pixel 10a” is the latest generation of budget-friendly Google Pixel devices, powered by the same “Tensor G4” processor found in the “Pixel 9” series.
Historically, the “Pixel a” series has been positioned as affordable models using the same processor as the flagship series of the same generation. However, the “Pixel 10a” is the first to use a previous-generation processor. In terms of major specs, it functions as a minor update to the “Pixel 9a,” and unfortunately, it does not support the “Pixelsnap” magnet unit based on the “Qi2” wireless charging standard introduced with the “Pixel 10” series.
The “Pixel 10a” is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring a satin-finish frame made of 100% recycled aluminum and a back cover made of 81% recycled plastic. Recycled materials—including cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten—are used throughout the device in fine details.
Like the “Pixel 9a,” the “Pixel 10a” has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, but durability has been significantly improved through the use of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i cover glass. While the display remains the same 6.3-inch Actua display found on the “Pixel 9a,” its brightness has been increased by 11%.
The “Pixel 10a” battery, also the same 5,100mAh capacity as the “Pixel 9a,” offers over 30 hours of continuous use. However, its charging specifications have been improved to support up to 45W fast charging and up to 10W fast wireless charging. Seven years of major OS and security updates are guaranteed from the date of release.
Additionally, the “Pixel 10a” is the first in the “Pixel a” series to support “Pixel Satellite SOS.” It also supports “Quick Share,” the short-range file transfer feature that provides interoperability with Apple’s “AirDrop.”
Key specifications for the “Pixel 10a” include a 6.3-inch (2,424 × 1,080) Actua display with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and a 60–120Hz refresh rate, a “Tensor G4” processor / “Titan M2” security coprocessor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB of internal storage, and a 5,100mAh battery supporting up to 45W wired and 10W wireless fast charging. It ships with Android 16.
The rear camera system is a dual setup consisting of a 48MP wide camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera. It supports up to 8x Super Res Zoom and the “Macro Focus” feature for macro photography. The front features a single 13MP punch-hole camera.
Other features include USB Type-C 3.2, an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock, next-gen 5G (Sub6) support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v6.0, and dual SIM support via a nanoSIM slot and eSIM. The Japanese version includes FeliCa support for “Osaifu-Keitai.”
The “Pixel 10a” comes in four standard colors: “Lavender,” “Berry,” “Fog,” and “Obsidian.” The Japanese version adds the exclusive “Isai Blue” color, making it available in 5 options. It comes in two models with 8GB RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
