On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Google announced the introduction of new tools for the “Personal Health Coach” powered by the Google AI “Gemini,” which its fitness tracker subsidiary, Fitbit, has been offering to U.S. Fitbit Premium subscribers since October 2025. The company also announced the rollout of a “Public Preview” that brings select features to non-subscribing users.

The three new tools being added to the Personal Health Coach are for menstrual cycle health tracking, mental health monitoring, and logging of nutrition and hydration. With menstrual cycle health tracking, users can log their cycles and symptoms to receive personalized advice regarding their cycle.

For mental health, users can now log mindfulness sessions alongside their current mood to gain deeper insights. Additionally, the Stress Management Score, or “Resilience,” has been updated to help users better understand how their bodies respond to stress.

The nutrition and hydration logging tools allow users to set calorie goals and log their meals to track both caloric and water intake. Furthermore, it allows for more flexible nutritional management by enabling users to set macronutrient ranges tailored to their individual needs.

Finally, as part of opening up select “Personal Health Coach” features to non-subscribers, a “Public Preview” is being launched that enables users to track metrics such as overall health status, fitness levels, and sleep duration.
