- The update affects the address bar behavior when scrolling up or down on the screen.
- The address bar now hides after scrolling twice or more in the same direction.
It appears that a minor UI update has been implemented in the Android version of Google’s web browser, “Chrome.”
The updated UI component in the Android “Chrome” app is the address bar, specifically how it behaves when you scroll up or down. The address bar now automatically hides after you scroll twice or more in the same direction.
If your address bar is set to the top of the screen, it will hide when you scroll down continuously; if it is set to the bottom, it will hide when you scroll up continuously. This allows more of the webpage to be displayed on your screen. The hidden address bar reappears when you scroll in the opposite direction.

While the address bar now hides during continuous scrolling in the Android “Chrome” app, there does not currently appear to be a setting to disable this feature.
