Starting around March 2026, Google has begun rolling out “Notifications for nearby places” in the Android version of the Google Wallet app.

To set up this feature, simply tap the “Get notified when you’re near a place saved in your Wallet” banner located at the bottom of the Google Wallet home screen and follow the on-screen instructions to set your location permissions to “Always allow” or similar.
