Google Play Store and Google Store Integration Rollout

Key Points of This Article
  • In early March 2026, the integration of the “Google Store” into the “Google Play Store” appears to have finally begun.
  • Within the “Apps” tab of the “Google Play Store,” products sold on the “Google Store” are now displayed in a carousel under the heading “Get Google Pixel on the Google Store.”
  • The integration of the “Google Store” into the “Google Play Store” is expected to roll out gradually to more users.

As announced in the Google System Release Notes for July 2025—which were released on Monday, July 28, 2025, and included new features to enhance the security and reliability of Android-related devices—the integration of Google’s official e-commerce site, the “Google Store,” into the “Google Play Store” was officially announced.

More than half a year later, in early March 2026, the integration of the “Google Store” into the “Google Play Store” finally appears to have begun. I have confirmed this “Google Store” integration within the “Google Play Store” on my own “Pixel 10” Android device.

The feature displays products sold on the “Google Store” in a carousel format within the “Apps” tab of the “Google Play Store,” titled “Get Google Pixel on the Google Store.” Tapping any of these products opens the “Google Store” page directly within the Android “Google Play Store” app.

Furthermore, you can purchase products directly from the “Google Store” within the Android “Google Play Store” app.

While it may seem a bit unusual to see “Google Store” products appearing inside the “Apps” tab of the “Google Play Store,” this appears to be the current implementation. It is expected that the integration of the “Google Store” into the “Google Play Store” will gradually expand in the future.
