On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Google announced and began rolling out “Cinematic Video Overviews,” a new feature for the research and writing assistant tool powered by Google AI “Gemini,” NotebookLM.
“Cinematic Video Overviews” is a major update to the “Video Overview” feature within the content generation tool, “Studio.” By utilizing a combination of advanced AI models—the Google AI model “Gemini 3,” the image generation model “Nano Banana Pro,” and the video generation model “Veo 3″—it creates cinematic “video overviews” that incorporate smooth animations and unique, immersive visuals.
“Cinematic Video Overviews” is now available on the web version of NotebookLM and the Android/iOS “Google NotebookLM” apps, starting with English-language video generation. Please note that this is a premium feature available exclusively to members of “Google AI Ultra,” the top-tier Google AI plan under “Google One.”
