Pixel 10: Circle to Search Multi-Object Recognition Rollout

Key Points of This Article
  • Google has announced a new multi-object image recognition feature for “Circle to Search,” the gesture-based search function for Android.
  • Powered by next-generation “Gemini 3” technology, the feature now recognizes individual objects within the circled area.
  • The rollout will initially begin with the “Pixel 10,” “Pixel 10 Pro,” “Pixel 10 Pro XL,” “Pixel 10 Pro Fold,” and the Samsung “Galaxy S26” series.

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, Google announced a new multi-object image recognition feature for “Circle to Search,” the gesture-based search functionality for Android.

Previously, Circle to Search was designed to recognize the circled or highlighted area as a single image for search queries. However, with this new next-generation functionality based on “Gemini 3,” individual objects within the circled area are now identified, allowing for searches to be conducted for each specific object. For example, if you use Circle to Search on a photo of an outfit, the system will recognize and search for each item individually, from the top down to the shoes.

Additionally, for apparel items, users can upload a full-body photo of themselves to directly utilize the “virtual try-on” feature.

Multi-object image recognition

Multi-object image recognition in Circle to Search will first be rolled out to the “Pixel 10,” “Pixel 10 Pro,” “Pixel 10 Pro XL,” “Pixel 10 Pro Fold,” and the Samsung “Galaxy S26” series. The rollout is expected to expand to more devices in the future.
