Google Tasks Now Lets You Create Tasks Until the Year 2900

Key Points of This Article
  • Google Tasks can currently be created up to the year 2900.
  • It appears that before the migration of Google Keep’s task functionality, tasks could be created for the year 3000 and beyond.
  • The current maximum interval for “recurring tasks” is set to 1,000 days.

Google Tasks, the task management service, has seen a lot of movement recently, including the migration of task functions from the note-taking service “Google Keep.”

Tasks in “Google Tasks” are now shared across the calendar service “Google Calendar,” “Google Keep,” and Google’s AI “Gemini.” Google Tasks has truly become the hub for task functionality within the Google ecosystem.

Have you ever wondered just how far into the future you can create a task in “Google Tasks”? The answer, for now, is up to the year 2900.

Interestingly, it seems it was possible to create tasks for the year 3000 and beyond before the migration of Google Keep’s task functionality. With the migration, the limit was adjusted to the year 2900, and any tasks created for the year 3000 onwards have been forcibly reset to the year 2900 or later.

3000 年より後のタスク: 3000 年より後の日付のタスクは、2900 年に調整されます。

Additionally, the current maximum setting for “recurring tasks” is 1,000 days. While it appears that these could previously be set for more than 1,000 days, the limit was adjusted to a maximum of 1,000 days alongside the Google Keep migration.
