- “Personalization settings” are expected to be rolled out to “Gemini Live” in the near future.
- “Personalization settings” allow Gemini to reference your chat history to provide more tailored and personalized responses.
- A popup announcing the rollout of “Personalization settings” casually mentioned that “Gemini Live will also be available soon.”
First announced in mid-August 2025 and rolled out in Japan under various names such as “Personal context,” “パーソナル コンテクスト,” and “パーソナル コンテキスト,” the feature that allows Google AI “Gemini” to learn from past chat history has finally settled on the name “Personalization settings.”
Gemini’s “Personalization settings” enable the AI to reference previous chat history to provide responses that are more personalized to the user. This feature is currently available on the Web, Android, and iOS versions of the Gemini app.
Conversely, “Personalization settings” have not been available for the intuitive conversational service “Gemini Live.” However, it appears they will be coming to “Gemini Live” soon. A popup notifying users of the feature’s rollout quietly stated, “Gemini Live will also be available soon.”

That being said, it is still unclear exactly when “Personalization settings” will be deployed for “Gemini Live.” While several months have passed since the initial rollout of these settings for the standard Gemini experience, they have yet to appear for Gemini Live, making the timing difficult to predict. It seems we will just have to wait patiently.
