The gesture search feature “Circle to Search” for Android devices, primarily Google Pixel, has quietly integrated the “Nano Banana” image generation AI model.
With “Nano Banana” now integrated, you can apply image generation directly to the area you have circled. Specifically, by tapping “🍌 Create” from the context menu shown for the circled portion, “Nano Banana,” which is integrated into the “AI Mode” AI search feature, will be activated.
By simply sending a prompt from there, the AI image generation will be executed.

Incidentally, “Nano Banana” was originally the code name for Google’s image generation AI model, named on a whim late at night by Google DeepMind Product Manager Naina Raisinghani. However, it has now transcended its status as a code name and is becoming widely popular as the actual product name.
