Google’s AI “Gemini” has also been integrated, with a renewed rollout starting in the U.S. in late November 2025.

However, as of late December 2025, “Lens in Maps” is no longer available on some Android devices. The “Lens in Maps” icon has disappeared from the “Google Maps” app on certain Android handsets.
