On Thursday, December 11, 2025, Google announced the expansion of regions and languages for “Remix,” the AI editing feature for its online photo library service, Google Photos. This feature was initially announced in late July 2025 and launched for English users in the US.
Previously, “Remix” in Google Photos was only available to English users in the US, but it has now been expanded to Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Pakistan, the Philippines, Turkey, and Japan, making it available in the local language of each region. Incidentally, the availability of “Remix” in Japan/Japanese was confirmed as of Friday, December 5, 2025.
Additionally, in conjunction with the expansion of “Remix,” new styles such as “Watercolor,” “Pen,” “Oil Painting,” “Art Deco,” “Chibi Sticker,” and “Metal Pin” have also been announced.
