Google NotebookLM Adds DocX Support

On Monday, December 8, 2025, Google announced DocX (.docx) file support for its Gemini-powered research and writing assistant, NotebookLM (Google NotebookLM).

This update allows users to upload DocX files as a source in NotebookLM. The DocX file format is the standard for documents created with the word processing software, Microsoft Word.

Google also revealed that it is currently developing support for CSV (.csv) files in NotebookLM.
