- This photo editing tool automatically corrects photos of objects like posters taken at an angle to make them look as if they were shot from the front.
- The return of the “Perspective” tool has been confirmed in the Android version of the Google Photos app.
On Friday, December 5, 2025, Google announced the return of the “Perspective” editing tool, which had been removed from its online photo library service, Google Photos.
The “Perspective” tool in Google Photos is a photo editing feature that automatically corrects photos of objects like posters taken at an angle to make them appear as if they were shot head-on. However, the “Perspective” tool was removed along with the rollout of the new photo editor around late July 2025.
Google had previously announced the return of the “Perspective” tool, and now, four months after that announcement, it has finally been reinstated. The return of the “Perspective” tool can be confirmed in the latest version of the Google Photos app for Android.

Meanwhile, the return of the “Perspective” tool has not yet been confirmed in the iOS version of the Google Photos app.
