On Monday, December 1, 2025, Google announced the expansion of its Gemini-integrated photo editing feature, “Conversational Editing” (Help me edit), to the iOS Google Photos app. This feature was initially rolled out for the new generation Google Pixel “Pixel 10” series and later expanded to non-Pixel 10 Android devices.

The Gemini-integrated “Conversational Editing” in the Google Photos app is an AI feature that allows you to direct photo edits using prompts. By simply typing your desired edits into the Gemini prompt window on the photo editing screen, the app will execute the edits according to your request.

There’s no need to specify which tool to use; you can even assign multiple editing tasks at once, such as “remove the car in the background,” “restore this old photo,” or “remove reflections and fix faded colors.” It can also respond to vague prompts like “make the photo better” by showing suggested edits, and it supports further fine-tuning of the edited photo.

And now, this “Conversational Editing” (Help me edit) has been expanded not only to the Android Google Photos app but also to the iOS version, making it available on iPhone and iPad.

However, the Gemini-integrated “Conversational Editing” feature in the Google Photos app for both Android and iOS is still limited to users in the US aged 18 and over. The rollout has not yet started outside the US for either platform.

Additionally, it was announced in mid-November 2025 that the new photo editor, which was initially rolled out for the Android Google Photos app, would also be coming to the iOS Google Photos app, but this rollout has not yet been confirmed either.
