Key Points of This Article
  • Around Friday, November 28, 2025, Google Keep’s “Reminders” will finally be migrated to Google Tasks.
  • When opening a note in the Google Keep app for Android / iOS, a pop-up appears stating, “New! Reminders are moving to Google Tasks.”
  • Finally, tasks and reminders from Google Tasks, Google Calendar, and Google Keep will be unified into Google Tasks.

About a year and a half ago, on Thursday, April 25, 2024, Google announced that the “Reminders” feature in its note-taking service, Google Keep, would be integrated (migrated) into its task management service, Google Tasks, by the second half of 2025.

Then, about a month and a half ago, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the start of the migration of Google Keep’s “Reminders” to Google Tasks was finally officially announced. However, in the month and a half since then, Google Keep’s “Reminders” had not yet been migrated to Google Tasks.

Just when we thought that, around Friday, November 28, 2025, Google Keep’s “Reminders” were finally migrated to Google Tasks. When you open a note in the Google Keep app for Android / iOS, a pop-up appears stating, “[New! Reminders are moving to Google Tasks].”

From now on, “Reminders” set in Google Keep notes can be managed as tasks in Google Tasks. This finally unifies the tasks and reminders from Google Tasks, Google Calendar, and Google Keep into Google Tasks.

The migration of Google Keep’s “Reminders” to Google Tasks will roll out automatically, with no opt-in required.
