And now, it appears the logo for Google’s online photo library service, Google Photos, is also being updated to a gradient design. In late November 2025, we confirmed that the logo for the Google Photos app on Android and iOS has been updated, as shown in the lead image.
The Google Photos logo update has not been fully rolled out yet, but it is expected to be rolled out gradually.
Incidentally, the Google Photos logo was previously updated once in late June 2020. This means the current logo update is the second one in about four and a half years.
In other words, this is the third-generation logo for Google Photos.
