Gemini Rolls Out Integration with Gmail, Google Drive, and Chat on Android and iOS

On Friday, November 14, 2025, Google began rolling out the Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Chat connection features for its research assistant model, ‘Gemini Deep Research (Deep Research),’ to the Android and iOS Gemini apps. This follows the initial rollout for the desktop version of the Gemini app, which started on Wednesday, the 5th of the same month.

The ‘Gemini Deep Research’ connection feature for Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Chat allows you to individually toggle Google Workspace services such as Google Search, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Chat ON or OFF as information sources. Previously, ‘Gemini Deep Research’ used Google Search as its information source, but by connecting Google Workspace services, it can now perform research based on those sources.
