On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Google began rolling out the November 2025 monthly software update for Google Pixel devices from the Pixel 7a and newer, which includes the usual security vulnerability patches and feature enhancements.
Meanwhile, the November 2025 monthly software update has not yet been released for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro (the first Google Pixel devices with the original “Tensor” processor, released in October 2021) and their budget version, the Pixel 6a, which are guaranteed software updates until October 2026. The update is also missing for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which are guaranteed updates until October 2027. For the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, this is the third time they have missed an update, following the July 2025 and October 2025 monthly updates.
For the Pixel 6a, this marks the second missed update, following the non-release of the October 2025 monthly update. For the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, this is the first time they have missed a monthly software update since their launch.
It is currently unknown whether the November 2025 monthly software update for the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro will be skipped entirely or just delayed, as Google has made no announcement. However, based on past instances where missed updates were never released, it is highly likely that this update will also be skipped.
Incidentally, for the Japanese domestic versions of the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a, there was an issue from late September to early October 2025 where “Osaifu-Keitai” related services using FeliCa did not function correctly on some devices. However, this FeliCa issue has been resolved via an emergency “Google Play system update”.
