In the “Google System Updates” release notes for new features on Android-related devices, published on Monday, November 10, 2025, Google announced the release of a remote uninstall feature for apps installed on other Android devices, accessible from the app page in the Google Play Store app for Android.
About a year ago, around October 2024, a feature was implemented in the “Manage apps & device” page of the Google Play Store app for Android that allowed users to remotely uninstall apps installed on other Android-related devices logged in with the same Google account. However, this remote uninstall feature required a somewhat cumbersome process: going to the “Manage apps & device” page, selecting the device from which to uninstall the app, and then choosing the app to uninstall.
However, the newly announced feature allows for the remote uninstallation of apps installed on other Android devices directly from the app’s page in the Google Play Store app for Android. A new “Uninstall” button will be added to the device list on each app’s page, making it easy to use the remote uninstall feature from there. The existence of this feature was confirmed as early as August 2025, but it has now been officially announced.
The feature to remotely uninstall apps installed on other Android devices from the app’s page in the Google Play Store app for Android is scheduled to roll out with version 48.8 or later of the Google Play Store app for Android.
