The new settings menu, “Personal context,” which Google announced in mid-August 2025 as a new feature for its Google AI, Gemini, has finally started rolling out around Friday, October 10, 2025.

“Personal context,” now rolling out in Gemini, is a new settings menu that houses the new “Past chats with Gemini” setting, which enables more personalized responses based on your chat history. The section in the Gemini settings menu that was originally called “Saved info” has now been replaced with “Personal context.”

And within the “Personal context” settings, you will now find the new “Past chats with Gemini” setting, as well as “Saved info,” which has been renamed to “Custom instructions for Gemini.”

The new “Past chats with Gemini” setting within “Personal context” can be toggled on and off, and your chat history (activity) with Gemini can also be deleted at any time. However, “Past chats with Gemini” currently appears to be available only with the “2.5 Pro (Gemini 2.5 Pro)” AI model. It will become available for “2.5 Flash (Gemini 2.5 Flash)” soon.

Incidentally, “Personal context” was briefly rolled out to the web version of the Gemini app in mid-September 2025, but it quickly reverted to the old UI. This new rollout of “Personal context” is available through the web, Android, and iOS versions of the Gemini app.
