Google は 2025 年 9 月 30 日（火）、メールサービス「Gmail」にて提供している POP3 接続と Gmailify のサポートを、来年 2026 年 1 月に終了すると発表しました。

POP3 接続は、サードパティーメールアカウントを「Gmail」で管理できるサービスです。「Gmail」を経由して、サードパティーメールアカウントによるメール受信やメール送信が可能。POP3 接続は IMAP 接続とは異なり、リアルタイム同期されない点が特徴です。

Gmailify は、サードパティーメールアカウントに、「Gmail」と同等のスパム対策や受信トレイ整理といった機能を付与できる高度なメールサービスです。ただし、Yahoo! メール / Outlook / Hotmail などの特定メールサービスのみが対応しています。

この「Gmail」の POP3 接続と Gmailify のサポートが、2026 年 1 月をもって終了します。以降「Gmail」で管理できるサードパティーメールサービスは、IMAP 接続のみとなります。

ちなみに、POP3 接続と Gmailify のサポートが終了すると、「Gmail」における POP3 接続 / Gmailify メールの送受信が不可となりますが、それまでに同期されたメール残ります。

Starting January 2026, Gmail will no longer provide support for the following:
