“Call Screen” is a smart call-answering feature for Google Pixel devices (Pixel 6 and newer) and the Google Pixel Watch series. When you can’t answer a call, such as on a train or while driving, Google Assistant, through the default “Phone by Google” app, will ask the caller for their name and the reason for their call on your behalf. With “Call Screen” on Android Auto, the feature will now activate on your Google Pixel device when you receive a call.
“Call Notes” is an AI feature in the default “Phone by Google” app on Google Pixel devices that utilizes Google’s AI model, Gemini Nano, to transcribe and summarize call content. In the second half of 2025, “Call Notes” will also become available on Android Auto, allowing users to utilize call transcriptions and AI summaries while driving.
