It appears that the Android version of Google’s mobile payment service, “Google Wallet,” has added support for “Live Updates (Live Info),” a key feature of the upcoming Android OS, “Android 16.”

“Live Updates,” a highlight feature of “Android 16,” enables users to check the progress of orders from food delivery apps and similar services in real-time from the notification area and lock screen. Support for “Live Updates” in the Android version of “Google Maps” was also recently confirmed. (See recent confirmation here.)

Now, the Android version of the “Google Wallet” app also supports “Live Updates (Live Info).” We have confirmed this support in app version v25.36.

When “Live Updates” support is implemented, a new “Live Info” setting will be added within the “Notifications” menu of the “App Info” screen. Of course, this new setting will appear on Android devices running “Android 16.”

Regarding the “Live Updates” for the Android version of “Google Wallet,” we have only confirmed functional support at this stage. The specific types of notifications that will be displayed as “Live Updates” are currently unknown.
