すべてのユーザー開放！「Gemini」ファイルアップロード機能

Google は 2025 年 2 月 20 日（木）、Google AI「Gemini」にてこれまでプレミアムプラン「Gemini Advanced」メンバーシップ向けに提供していたファイルアップロード機能を、すべての「Gemini」ユーザー向けに開放し、提供を開始しました。

すべての「Gemini」ユーザー向けに開放されたファイルアップロード機能は、「Google ドキュメント」ファイル / PDF /（Word などの）スプレッドシート / そのほかテキスト系ファイルをアップロードすることで、そのファイルの分析や要約などを利用できる便利な機能です。「Gemini Advanced」メンバーシップ向けには 2024 年夏前後から提供されていますが、無料の「Gemini」ユーザーでも利用できるようになりました。

ただし、「Gemini Advanced」メンバーシップではテキストファイル約 1,500 ページ相当のファイルアップロードに対応していますが、無料ユーザーの場合は約 50 ページ相当のみの対応となります。ご注意ください。

Document upload is now available to all Gemini users

• What: You can seamlessly upload multiple Google Docs, PDFs, and Word documents from Google Drive or your device into Gemini for quick summaries, personalized feedback, and actionable insights. Currently, Gemini offers a 32K context window (around 50 pages of text), with usage limits. Gemini Advanced users continue to have a 1 million token context window (around 1,500 pages of text) and much higher usage limits.
